Unlike a sleep mask and ear plugs, it's tough to objectively say this body lotion improved my sleep. It's scented with (mostly) lavender, which small studies suggest has anti-anxiety powers - just the sort of thing you want to calm yourself down before bed. The sleepbuds do a great job of cancelling out that audio pollution. That inner-city neighbourhood I live in is also very noisy (a big f-k you to the drunk folks who stroll out of the restaurant under my apartment building late every night, and the garbage collectors who empty out bins of glassware early every morning). They buds don't play music, but a selection of low-key ambient sounds - including rainfall, rushing river, and airplane drone. These are basically just wireless headphones that fit very snugly in your ears (snug enough so they don't slip out while you sleep), and sync up to the Bose Sleep app on your phone.

Or you could upgrade to Bose's nose-masking sleepbuds, the Iron Man of ear plugs. You could just pick up a set of ear plugs at your local pharmacy for a couple of dollars (a former flatmate was so dependent on these to sleep that he ordered them in bulk from Amazon).
